Former Red Sox all star and soon to be hall of famer David Ortiz was shot in the back yesterday during what was reported as an attempted robbery. Ortiz was taken to a local hospital in Santo Domingo for emergency surgery. He is now in stable condition. Reports are now surfacing that Ortiz was having an affair with the wife of a Dominican drug lord, who ordered the hit on Ortiz.
